THE Names

Well, we had THE NAMES! We have had them for a while now; no questions asked, this was what LP would be named if he were a boy or if she were a girl.

I will admit, my DH came up with the boys name & it was ok to me. I've tried to love it, I've tried to let it grow on me.  I didn't want to say anything to my hubby as I wanted to try to give it time. Yesterday however, after a few months of thinking these were it, these were our names..I gave in..I told him I wasn't in love with our Boy name. He proceeded to tell me he was still ify on our Girl name & apparently had been feeling the same as me!

So we are back at the drawing board. We both have unique names & would like to try to stick with that for our LP. We do not care if it's a more common name with an unusual spelling or just an unique name. We do know that we do not want LP to be sitting in a classroom of 5 other kids with the same name...so no popular names for us.

We have narrowed the girl names back to 2; 1 which still happens to be the one we had originally picked (funny how that works), but boys...well we have a lot of work ahead of us!

  1. I think boys names are tougher than girls names. Girls have so many options! I hope you are able to come to a decision soon.

  2. Well, my favorite baby name site just decided to charge for their advanced search options, but go here to check it out: http://www.babynamewizard.com/namipedia/advanced-name-finder

You can still search, but to use all of the search parameters you now have to pay. Doodie heads.

  3. Names are great to go ahead and pick. We had two girl names picked out at the time we got THE CALL and no boy names. It turned out, it was a sweet little boy we were bringing home. In a span of 24 hours we had to pick his name - talk about stress! Good luck and enjoy this stage! :-)

  4. DH & I had a hard time with names too - the girls names came really easy to me but I struggled with the boy names. He had an easy time with boy names and not girls. I am the same way with not wanting something super common either - for the same reason. :)

  6. Hello,

My name is Julie and I have PCOS too. I am TTC but it is a challenge... I found you blog and I can find myself in your posts. I agree that boys names are more difficult. We have found names we both agreed on but 2 girls and 1 boy. we can't agree on more boys names. I started my own blog yesterday If you want to have a look at my journey :) here it is http://juliesworldoffertility.blogspot.com

hope you have a good day.

    Julie.

  7. One time LONG before IF, I said I liked this girl name, DH agreed. Now it's a really popular name and I don't like it but DH holds me to it! Oh well, I'm not crossing that bridge until it gets here...as in child in arms then we'll discuss.

  8. at least you were both honest...I agreed on a boys name with my hubby for a really long time and once we found out we were having a boy I just couldn't get used to it. I broke his heart when I told him..but I need to like my childs name right? But at least you both agree to go to the drawing board!
